Opening the door to more Hidden Treasures and Be My Guest dining
September, 2011 – Trafalgar invites New Zealand travellers to see the world from the inside and feel like a local as they explore Europe and Britain’s Hidden Treasures on any one of its 117 exclusive First Class itineraries in 2012.
Trafalgar has continued to transform its Europe and Britain program for 2012, with the introduction of many new, enhanced hotels and dining experiences throughout the First Class brochure to ensure Kiwis get the most value out of their next European holiday and see a side of destinations not found in guidebooks. It is this commitment to innovation and providing travellers with unforgettable holiday moments which has seen Trafalgar continue to evolve and expand its product line-up, offering a greater number of authentic and immersive experiences and uncovering more Hidden Treasures than ever before.
The door will be opened on new destinations and experiences in 2012 with the launch of nine amazing new First Class itineraries spanning Europe, Britain and Eastern Mediterranean and including five brand new At Leisure itineraries. A total 15 new At Leisure itineraries have been introduced for 2012, bringing the total to 28, with 18 Europe and Britain At Leisure itineraries being offered as part of the new 2012 First Class brochure. The expansion of At Leisure is a response to the overwhelming demand for this innovative program in 2011, exceeding all expectations in its inaugural year.
The increased number of At Leisure itineraries means there is now greater choice for independently-minded travellers seeking a more relaxed-pace holiday. New 2012 First Class programs include the 8-day Scenic Ireland, 9-day Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh, 9-day Alpine France and Switzerland, 10-day Spanish Island Serenade and 11-day Paris and Provence. At Leisure itineraries have been carefully-crafted to ensure they provide the right mix of organised, small-group sightseeing with an expert Trafalgar Travel Director and Local Guide and time to explore independently in order to truly become immersed in each destination. This distinct style of guided holiday offers no less than two to three days in each location and no departures earlier than 9am on travelling days.
For 2012, Trafalgar has also expanded its exclusive Be My Guest dining inclusions and has sought out a greater number of authentic, private venues to enable more travellers to go off-the-beaten-track and dine as a local, with locals. As part of the First Class 10-day Best of Ireland, people will get to experience a home-cooked dinner at a family’s farmhouse while being entertained with traditional Irish storytelling. Meanwhile, those on the 13-day Best of Germany and Austria will be treated to a luncheon in a picturesque castle overlooking the Rhine; an unforgettable moment they would not have had if not travelling with Trafalgar.
Other new, exciting First Class Europe and Britain 2012 itineraries include:
